Meet The Hendersons

Like the scrappy Jack Pine tree that thrives after fire, we believe heat and connection help us grow. We’re the Henderson’s, a family passionate about adventure, nature, and spreading the joy of the sauna experience. Together with our three kids, we explore the outdoors, ski, camp and dance.

• Al: I feel most alive when I’m dancing, reading Harry Potter, or being silly with my buddies.

• Tripp: I thrive when building with my hands and enjoying the outdoors with friends.

• Kids: Well there are 3 of them and they are still growing into what makes them feel the most alive.

Hand-crafted in maine

• We may be called Jack Pine but cedar is the main ingredient used to outfit this old horse trailer into the relaxing sauna it is today.

• We took an old horse trailer and converted it into this perfectly cozy mobile retreat for up to 4 people. Some times you just need a way to warm up in Maine and this is how we did it.

• The most fun part of the build was the Shou Sugi Ban process used for the floor and exterior siding accent. This process was used for three reasons, aesthetically we found it pleasing, by treating the wood with heat it will last longer and be more resistant to insects and weather, and who doesn’t want to play around with a blow torch.
